We are a boutique Consulting firm, comprising of creative and consultant professionals, with a wealth of experience serving clients of diverse backgrounds, in particular, those in the Muslim cultural and economic sectors in addition to mainstream organisations serving the Muslim communities.
We are now seeking an Events Assistant to join our team.
The Role
As an Events Assistant, you will act as the first point of contact for all event enquiries and will be responsible for the entire customer journey from booking to after-event customer care.
Managing events enquiries via email and telephone, you will convert enquiries into delegate bookings, driving multiple and group bookings across the Institution’s events, ensuring the customer experience is smooth.
Providing administrative support for the Events Team, you will raise invoices and purchase orders, as well as entering new bookings into the customer database.
Your role will also involve:
Responding to booked client’s FAQs and acting as their point of contact after booking
Chase clients for their relevant documentation prior to the event
Assisting the project managers with event planning prior to the events
Assisting with the smooth running of the event set-up and execution on site
About You
To be considered as an Events Assistant, you will need:
Experience working in a customer-facing and/or administrative role
Experience in utilising and navigating multiple applications/tools and databases
Good quantitative and qualitative data reporting skills
Excellent communication skills
A professional and respectful telephone manner
Excellent prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Proficiency in IT, including MS Office
Telephone sales experience would be beneficial to your application, as would experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.
This is a work from home role, however, some travel will be required for meetings, and for the setup and running of events. In addition, out-of-hours commitment is required during show times and hotels will be provided where applicable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join the Algebra Festivals Event Team.
This role is responsible for implementing the digital communications element of our marketing strategy, ensuring the online presence of our portfolio of events throughout the year. You will take the lead on all social media marketing to promote the events, with consistent messaging across all platforms. You will be a great content creator with an interest in the latest marketing trends, helping to ensure Algebra Festivals continues to grow its audience and attract new visitors.
This job might be for you if:
You thrive in a project-by-project environment with hard deadlines. Are comfortable getting your head down and focusing on what needs to be done whilst balancing creativity with analytics when implementing digital marketing campaigns.
Key responsibilities:
Planning and implementing social media campaigns for both B2B and B2C
Developing our social media strategy
Managing the marketing budget for all digital communications
Creating social media assets
Producing weekly and monthly reports
Ensuring our website aligns with our social media brand
Building landing pages and updating the website
Adding and updating content on the website
Writing and designing newsletters using Mailchimp for both B2B and B2C
Manage photographers for all live events
Need to have:
At least 2 years experience in a digital marketing position
Experience with Google Analytics
Experience with Facebook for business
Facebook Blueprints certification
Experience with Mailchimp
Excellent written and verbal skills
Basic design skills for creating social media imagery
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of Squarespace and/or Wix
